Brian Levy primarily provides compliance, governance, transactional, and regulatory guidance for banks and mortgage providers. For over 15 years, Mr. Levy has also represented purchasers and sellers of summer camps and provided camp owners with ongoing counsel. He is a frequent conference speaker and is the author of the widely read Mortgage Musings industry blog. Mr. Levy is a member of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers. He was the 2006 Chairman of RESPRO (The Real Estate Services Providers Council) and served on its Executive Committee for 7 years. Mr. Levy also served as chair of various federal and state banker association government relations and mortgage markets related committees. Levy recently co-chaired the Mortgage Banking Association’s RESPA reform advisory committee(s). Levy also served as Co-Chair of Mequon Thiensville School District Ad Hoc Committee (2013-2014) and as Chairman of the Milwaukee Children’s Village (foster care alternative for large sibling groups) from 2003-2010. Mr. Levy was Secretary, EVP and General Counsel to a mid-sized midwestern bank for 15 years and prior to that worked for 5 years in private practice handling primarily commercial real estate law with what is now the international law firm DLA. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, (A.B., 1986, Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and Harvard Law School (J.D., 1989).
